The short version, written plainly.

These terms are the agreement between you and the makers of EachTick ("we", "us"). They apply whenever you use the EachTick app. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app.

Who can use EachTick

You need to be at least 13 years old. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you should have a parent or guardian read these terms with you. By using EachTick you're confirming you meet that bar.

Your account

You can sign in with Apple or Google, or continue as a guest. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your sign-in method secure. A guest account lives only on that device until you attach a real sign-in to it. If you lose the device or delete the app, that guest account and its boards can't be recovered.

Shared boards

EachTick is built for two people, and sharing is the point. When you invite someone to a board, or accept an invite to one, understand what that means:

The other person can see that board's tasks, your display name, and which tasks you've completed and when.
They can add, rename and delete tasks on that board.
Anyone holding a valid invite code or link for a board can join it. Treat invite codes like you'd treat a door key, and generate a fresh one if you've shared it somewhere you'd rather it wasn't.
You can leave a board at any time. When you do, your completions are removed from it. If you were the last person on the board, the board and its history are deleted.

Your content

Your boards, tasks and completions are yours. You keep ownership of them. You give us only the permission we need to actually run the service: to store your content, sync it between you and the person you share a board with, and compute streaks from it. We don't use your content for advertising and we don't sell it.

You're responsible for what you put into a shared board, and for having the right to share it.

Fair use

Please don't use EachTick to harass, threaten or abuse anyone, to share unlawful content, to break into or disrupt the service, or to scrape, resell or reverse-engineer it. We may suspend or remove access to accounts that do.

Premium subscriptions

EachTick is free to use for one shared board, in full. Premium adds unlimited boards and your complete streak history.

Premium is sold as an auto-renewing subscription and is billed by Apple through your Apple Account, not by us. Two plans are offered: Monthly at $4.99 and Yearly at $29.99, the yearly plan starting with a 7 day free trial. Those are US prices; they vary by region, and your actual price is shown in the app before you subscribe.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
Your subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
Any unused portion of a free trial, where one is offered, is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
Premium covers both of you. If one person on a board subscribes, both people get Premium on every board they share. If that person cancels or leaves, Premium ends for the boards it was covering.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Changes to the app

We'll keep improving EachTick, which means features can change, and occasionally one may be removed. If we ever have to make a change that materially reduces what you've paid for, we'll tell you in the app first.

We try hard to keep the service running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable. Sync depends on your network and on services we rely on.

Ending things

You can stop using EachTick whenever you like, and you can delete your account from inside the app (Profile › Delete account). Deleting removes your boards, tasks and completions from our systems, and it can't be undone. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel an active subscription. Cancel that through Apple.

We may suspend or end access if these terms are being broken, or if we're required to by law.

The legal necessities

EachTick is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

EachTick is a habit and task-sharing app. It is not medical, health, financial or professional advice, and it shouldn't be relied on for anything where getting it wrong would be harmful. Don't use it as a medication reminder without a proper backup.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top and, for material changes, let you know in the app. Continuing to use EachTick after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. If you use EachTick as a consumer somewhere else, this doesn't take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in.
