Getting started

How do I share a board with someone?

Open the board, tap Invite, and pick whichever is easiest: show them the QR code, read them the eight-character code, or send the link. On their side: Join a board on the home screen, then enter the code. Once they're in, their column appears on every task.

My partner joined but I still see one column.

The second column appears as soon as they accept. If it hasn't, pull to refresh, and check they joined this board and not a different one. The code is per board. Still stuck? Email us with the board name and we'll look.

The invite code doesn't work.

Codes expire, and each one belongs to a single board. Generate a fresh one from Invite and try again. Codes are not case-sensitive, and the characters I, L, O and U never appear, so a 0 is always a zero and a 1 is always a one.

Ticks and streaks

Why can't I tick my partner's box?

By design. Each of you ticks your own box on the same task. That is the whole point of EachTick. You'll see theirs update live the moment they tick it.

My streak reset, but I did the task.

Streaks are counted on our servers in your board's timezone, so a tick made after midnight counts for the new day. If a day looks wrong, check the board's timezone, then email us. We can see the completion history and tell you exactly what happened.

Does my partner missing a day break my streak?

No. Your streak is yours. If they miss a day, their run resets and yours keeps going.

I deleted a task by mistake.

Tap Undo in the banner that appears right after deleting. It restores the task exactly as it was, streaks included.

Why can't I change a task's schedule?

Because changing which days a task is due would rewrite streaks you already earned. Delete the task and add it with the schedule you want, or keep both.

Notifications

EachTick sends two kinds: a nudge when your partner ticks something, and a reminder when a streak is about to lapse. Nothing else. If they've stopped arriving, check iOS Settings → Notifications → EachTick and that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn't filtering them.

Premium and billing

What's free?

One shared board, in full. No trial timer and no locked ticks.

What does Premium add?

Unlimited boards, and your complete streak history week by week. It is $4.99 a month, or $29.99 a year with a 7 day free trial (US prices; they vary by region and your price is shown before you subscribe).

Do we both have to pay?

No. One of you subscribes and you both get Premium on every board you share.

Managing or cancelling a subscription

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they're managed on your device: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling there stops the renewal and Premium stays active until the period ends. Refund requests go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

I paid but Premium isn't showing.

Open Profile → Restore purchases, making sure you're signed in with the Apple Account that bought it. If it still doesn't appear, email us.

Account and data

Deleting your account

Go to Profile → Delete account. This removes your boards, tasks and completions from our systems, and revokes the Sign in with Apple token. It cannot be undone.

Leaving a board

Open the board's members list and choose to leave. Your ticks come off that board. If you were the last person on it, the board and its history are deleted.

Your data

What we store and why is set out in the privacy policy. No ads, no trackers, nothing sold to anyone.
