Your data, plainly.
Last updated 26 July 2026
EachTick is a shared to-do app for two people. We collect only what's needed to run your shared boards, and we never sell your data or use it for advertising. This policy explains what we store, why, and how to remove it.
What we collect
- Account. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a stable account identifier (and, if you allow it, your name). Sign in with Apple can use a private relay email. Guests get an anonymous identifier with no personal details.
- Your display name. The name you choose so your partner can see who ticked a task.
- Board content. The boards, tasks, schedules, and completions you create — including which tasks you marked done and when.
- Timezone. Your board's timezone, so "today" and streaks line up for both of you.
- Notifications token. If you enable reminders, a device token used only to deliver those notifications.
We do not collect your contacts, location, or advertising identifiers, and EachTick contains no third-party ad or tracking SDKs.
How we use it
- To run your shared boards and sync ticks between you and your partner in real time.
- To compute streaks and fair-share stats on our servers (so the phone clock can't be gamed).
- To send the reminders you turn on, and account emails if you contact us.
Who can see it
The person you share a board with can see that board's tasks, your display name, and which tasks you've completed. That's the point of a shared board. People you don't share a board with can't see your content.
Our infrastructure runs on Google Firebase (authentication, database, and functions), which processes and stores this data on our behalf under Google's security and privacy commitments. We don't share your data with anyone else, and we never sell it.
Keeping it and deleting it
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account from the app (Profile → Delete account), which removes your boards, tasks, and completions from our systems. When you leave a board, your ticks are removed from it; if you were the last person on a board, the board and its history are deleted.
You can also email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.
Children
EachTick isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, let you know in the app.
